Eretz Carmel, a non-profit, non-political, grass roots organization, was established in July 2006 by Amiad Lapidot. The organization's goal is to promote models of sustainable growth and revival of the environment, while at the same time preserving quality of life and building for a better future. Amiad began expanding the concept of sustainability in the region of the Carmel coast, and throughout the state of Israel.
Sustainability is our ability to exist today without damaging the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Eretz Carmel intends to implement sustainability in communities throughout Israel, by means of simple, practical and easily adaptable methods.

Eretz Carmel believes in the ability and willingness of communities to participate in bringing about positive change. They believe in leadership through example, and the power of role model communities to inspire others to follow, while encouraging local entrepreneurs to initiate projects for the preservation of the environment now and for future generations.
